Install An Empowered Self-Image

Let me tell you about something that absolutely demolished everyone…

It’s been a tough night.

What little that remains of our egos after the full-on ‘shamanic’ experience of the last 12 hours is about to be tested to the max.

Now, sitting on the hard wooden floor, comes the toughest challenge yet.

But you wouldn’t expect it to be such a trial…

In fact we all thought this was a ‘soft one’ to pad out the day.

42 minutes, in groups of 2.

7-minutes each way.

Repeat until the timer runs out.

Just one instruction:

Your partner asks you the question.

Whatever you reply, they respond by asking the same question.

“Who are you?”

There is no escape until the timer runs out.

Most people didn’t make it to the end without breaking down into floods of tears.

Turns out no-one had a good answer to this question.

Not one that stood up to any kind of scrutiny.

In fact, I often hear this from my anxiety clients:

“I’ve lost myself”

Here’s my translation of that:

‘My self-image is not adequate for the stress I’m going through.’

You see, without a robust and empowering self-image, you’re likely to experience:

  • Anxiety
  • Low self-esteem
  • Lack of purpose
  • Not ‘fitting-in’
  • Depression
  • People pleasing
  • Overthinking
  • Fear of failure

That’s not even an exhaustive list because, if you don’t know who you are, you don’t know how to act.

You don’t know what’s acceptable and what’s not… so you don’t enforce boundaries correctly.

That means you struggle in relationships.

Small things seem overwhelming because other people’s judgments scare you.

You let opportunities pass you by for fear of rejection or criticism.

Frankly, without a strong self-image, you will be like a reed in the wind.

But, you were NOT born with a weak self-image.

In fact you were not born with ANY self-image.

Your self-image results from the treatment you received as a kid.

All is not lost, though!

Your self-image is not fixed - it can be completely reinvented.

YOU can become anything you wish in your own mind.

However…

Mere wishful thinking will do nothing to increase your self-esteem.

Just desiring to be more resilient will not make you so.

To create an empowered self-image there are specific processes you need to follow.

When you follow this process, you literally re-wire your brain for positivity:

These are the steps:

  1. Make your mind more receptive to visual suggestions
  2. Plant the seeds of an empowered self-image
  3. Ensure that this new self-image permanently replaces the old

However, if you fail to follow these steps you’re likely to waste a lot of energy fighting against your old limitations.

As with everything I teach, resistance from the unconscious mind means you are doing something wrong.

That’s how you know that you are finally making progress - things feel natural.

It’s going to take a little bit of work… I don’t know whether you open to that...?

I’ll let you in on an ancient secret:

“All that is needed to achieve change is to know, to will, to dare, and to keep silent.”

The timeless maxim has been known to adepts for millennia, yet remains virtually unknown in the modern world of anemic self-help advice.

It doesn’t work that way.
